The Mini SS 5,56 mm, Light Machine
Gun is an automatic machine gun, capable of sustained
high rates of fire and is
gas-operated and air-cooled.
M27 type disintegrating belt ammunition is fed from the
left. The 1 in 9 twist barrel enables the weapon to fire
standard NATO type M193 and SS109 ammunition. The feed
mechanism housed inside the feed cover, like the feed
tray, is linked to the central section of the receiver.
The cartridge is guided by a bullet lead into the chamber.
The feed tray is provided with slots enabling one-handed
loading, ensuring correct ammunition positioning.
The Mini SS can also be fitted with a 100-round assault
pack.
The Mini SS is fitted with a folding bi-pod and fixed
butt.
The four-prong flash hider minimise muzzle flash.
A quick-acquisition combat optical sight can be fitted.
The firing pin is blocked till the breech is fully locked.
The machine-gun is fired from an open breech position.
